Knut Stålen is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations and the execution of planning processes. He also ensures that optimal operating procedures are implemented throughout the company.

Prior to joining CFEngine, he was CFO of Mamut ASA, a Norwegian public company specializing in ERP software and Internet services for SME companies. Mamut ASA was acquired by Visma ASA. Previously, Mr. Stålen worked as a Director of Finance for Microsoft.

From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Stålen was CFO for Trolltech ASA, the Norwegian developer of the popular Qt cross-platform application framework.  He managed the company’s 2006 IPO and financial operations as a public company through its 2008 acquisition by Nokia.
