I am a researcher, author, founder and architect of Cfengine, and often international public speaker. I try to popularise science, and have often been an advocate for science's cultural importance in modern education.

Previously, at Oslo University College, I taught Physics, Mathematics, Operating Systems, Unix Programming, Network and System Administration, Networking Technologies, laboratory skills, Programming Languages, Computer Security and many seminar series on scientific methods for PhD students.

I assist in the editing of a number of scientific journals. I have been a musician and occasional painter.
