Streamlined Upgrade to CFEngine Enterprise 3.6.1 A lot of you are eager to get your environments up to version 3.6.x, and we want to make that upgrade process as seamless as possible for you. CFEngine Enterprise 3.6.1 supports automated upgrade from Enterprise versions 3.0 and 3.5.x. Upon upgrade of the policy hub, data from MongoDB will be extracted and imported in to the corresponding 3.6.1 schemas in PostgreSQL, as well as Mission Portal settings, user preferences, users and role definitions. Upgrading of agent hosts will be automated via the cf-upgrade binary. Additional information is available in the documentation. Minor Enhancements to the Mission Portal We’ve made some minor tweaks to the Mission Portal user interface that will improve the overall experience of the inventory module. For starters we’ve added an out-of-the-box “Disk Free (%)” inventory attribute that gives you an indication of how much disk space is available on the server. You can therefore be alerted during situations when the disk space is running low diskfree2 We’ve also made improvements to the inventory reporting column selector. It is now much more interactive, and simpler to add/delete columns on your reports on the fly: columnselector In addition, if your Mission Portal implementation leverages a 3rd-party authentication mechanism such as LDAP or Active Directory, we’ve made changes to drastically improve Mission Portal performance.
