In this installment we turn to Danilo Fernando Chilene who recently wrote about **monitoring CFEngine with Zabbix. **The original blog can be found at

In this particular piece learn about how Zabbix can be leveraged to monitor processes, memory use and the promise summary log in the context of CFEngine. If you have other such stories of CFEngine use, we would love to hear back from you. Thanks Danilo for a great post!
Monitoring CFEngine With Zabbix
I created a template to monitor CFEngine
with Zabbix. This allows the
monitoring of processes, memory use and the promise summary log.
The below shows what is included on the template:
The template can be downloaded here: bit.ly/1qxKd5G The steps are pretty simple, first you must import the template on Zabbix and then apply to host.
Importing the Template and using it
On Zabbix go to Configuration -> Templates and click Import, Choose the file (as shown in the image below) and click Import.
Looks like the import was fine.
Applying the template a to monitored host
Now you need to apply the template to monitored host, in our case just link the template to your CFEngine server.
Below are some screenshots of latest data, graph of memory usage and history of promise log:
Thanks to the CFEngine team for this great configuration management solution.
